Christmas Amongst the Unreached

Merry Christmas everyone!

I don’t know about y’all but this season seemed to just swoop in and take over, in the best possible way. My last couple of days of school before the end of the calendar year are over and they were filled with events and parties to finish off the year with a BANG! Carl and I will even got to attend Tripp’s first Christmas performance {We were a little excited to say the least}. In the midst of the chaos Carl and I have been really trying to reflect and rejoice in the blessings and fruit from this year. As a result of the relationships God has entrusted to us, we are having some wonderful opportunities this time of year to serve. Our church has taken responsibility to sponsor the Pakistani leaders and their families whom we have been discipling. We will also be doing a Christmas outreach and giving out gifts in the Cambodian camps we have been working in. Our church is also had an outreach event this past Sunday to invite in some new friends and share the Christmas story with them. There were a few Thais and Western Expats who came. For some the meaning of Christmas was familiar, but others had never heard the Christmas story before. Please be praying for us as we serve and engage these communities over the next couple weeks.

A few weeks ago Carl and the rest of the SCP team went to India for the Asian Leadership Institute. They had a weeklong training with 9 network leaders talking about the importance of living a gospel-centered life and how that impacts the way they were making disciples. They will be meeting bi-monthly for the next 2 years covering a variety of topics that will equip these leaders to have ministries that will last and stand the test of time. The church in India is a mile wide, but only an inch deep. The Asian Leadership Institute was started by SCP to help these leaders grow deeper and plant roots that will sustain the church in India for decades to come.

Our family is so blessed to have so many who pray for us and support our ministry. We hope you all have a very merry Christmas and that you will be richly blessed as we celebrate the advent of our savior Jesus. God bless you all and thank you again for all that you do for our family.
